The Library Services to People with Special Needs committee of IFLA visited Oslo for our mid-year meeting. One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Bastoy Prison, the only prison in Oslo that is on an Island. A full article about my trip will be published soon. Here are a few photos of our group on the prison island in front of the bus that take us around the prison complex and a photo of Erlend Ra is the consultant for prison libraries in Norway, Tina Hansen who is the prison librarian, and Knut Nygaard, head of the Norwegian Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
