We didn’t have much time in Bol, but enough to visit the library. Easy to find since it’s shown on al the town maps. I had been there two years ago and recognized the path. The librarian director, Jadranka, was still there and remembered me. It’s very colorful with poster everywhere. But, as with all of these libraries, there are many steps and no elevator.
The name outside says Hrvatska Citaonica which roughly translates, I think, to Croatia Place of Reading. Citaonica is pronounced similar to Chitalisthe which is Bulgarian for a community center where reading occurs. Another sign of the Slavic background of a part of Croatia that just feels Italian.
